About This Spot

Kitchen Table Cafe feels like a welcoming neighborhood refuge just off the main drag in Arabi, where time slows down a bit and genuine hospitality takes center stage. Walking in, you’re met with an easygoing rhythm—whether you settle into the bar or find a spot at one of the cozy tables, the space invites quiet conversation and a relaxed pace that makes it a perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or an unhurried dinner.

The atmosphere is warm without pretense, grounded in the kind of comfort you find when a place consistently balances quality cooking with a sincere, attentive team. Whether it’s the morning light filtering in or the soft hum of locals coming together, there’s a familiar, lived-in feel that encourages you to linger.

On the menu, familiar American flavors come alive in unexpected ways, ranging from hearty salads vibrant with fresh greens and pickled accents to savory plates touched by southern and Mediterranean influences. The food’s character shines through in every bite—from crispy fried oysters and tender hanger steaks to perfectly seasoned shrimp tacos and comforting dishes that carry a bit of local soul. There’s a thoughtful layering of textures and flavors that reflects both tradition and a playful spirit in the kitchen.

More than just a meal, dining here is about connection: the kind that emerges when servers remember your name or ask after your day, and when strangers at the bar end up swapping smiles over a shared appreciation for a well-crafted burger or a fresh salad. It’s a place where you might find yourself surprised by a daily special as much as by the kindness behind the counter.

For those seeking a genuine taste of Arabi away from the usual crowds, Kitchen Table Cafe offers a grounded, heartfelt experience. It’s a reminder that some of the best meals come from places where the atmosphere is just as important as what’s on the plate—and where every visit feels like sitting down among friends.

The Kitchen Table is a hidden gem in Arabi. They had so many specials and menu options. I had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade as an appetizer and a shrimp pasta they had on the menu with capers and Kalamata olives and it was delicious! I love this place!

We had an amazing experience at The Kitchen Table in Arabi. Finally a Coke without chlorine taste (the Germans will understand ). The burgers were absolutely delicious, the fries perfectly done, and even my Caesar salad as a side was super tasty. But on top of all: Jennifer, our waitress, was incredibly friendly – by far the best service we’ve had here in the South so far.

Misty was our waitress. Very knowledgeable and super friendly! Our first time here from Atlanta, GA. We were in New Orleans for a work event. The breakfast food was Top Notch! Shrimp/Grits/Grouper was amazing! Omg the best Ive had ever!!! Also had the breakfast All American also top notch! The cook did their big one! Will definitely be back to try their lunch/dinner combo!

It’s my second time here dining in for breakfast. There’s a variety of options to choose from. I love the food. I ordered a pancake with a side of grits this time. The pancake is huge, fluffy with crispy edges like I like it. It came with a homemade honey butter and I added a side of bourbon caramel sauce. The atmosphere is great. You can sit at the bar section or table inside and there is an outside patio. I see a stage outside which means live performances must take place occasionally.

To my surprise, the food was very, very good and the prices reasonable. I will return again. It is off the beaten path just past the Orleans Parish line going south; but, it worth the trip.

One of my favorite spots when craving something sweet for breakfast! Their French toast and frozen hot chocolate was amazing
